Dion Thomas

Dion Thomas, Great Lakes Region President

In 2007, I began my career with United States Probation Department, in the Eastern District of Michigan as a supervision officer. In 2014, I was promoted to a Senior United States Probation Officer as a Mental Health Specialist. I am a local and national STARR Coach. Member of our department’s IT and Evidence-Based practices implementation groups. In 2001, I received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and in 2015 obtained my Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Steven Sheffer

Steven Sheffer, Northeast Region President

I am a U.S. Probation Officer in the Northern District of New York. I have been a presentence investigator for my entire career with the judiciary. Before my appointment, I had prior federal service as an Assistant Pretrial Services Officer and Pretrial Services Officer for the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia.

Glynis Eaton

Glynis Eaton, Mid-Atlantic Region President

Glynis Eaton is a Supervising United States Probation Officer in the Western District of North Carolina, and works in the Charlotte, NC office. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been a supervisor for four years, and before that served as the Program Development Specialist and Training Coordinator in her district.

Kelli M. Frye

Kelli M. Frye, Southeast Region President

I was appointed as a United States Probation Officer in the District of South Carolina, Charleston Division, in February 2001. I began in the Pretrial Unit, before moving into the Supervision Unit, and ultimately coming to rest in the Court Services Unit as a presentence officer. I am a wife and mom to three young boys. I look forward to serving as Southeast Regional President for FPPOA.

Jennifer Morris, Central Region President

I was appointed as a U.S. Probation Officer in the Northern District of Texas in January 2007. Prior to this, I worked as a Probation Officer in Dallas County, Texas. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University. I have worked as a Presentence writer since I arrived in the federal system, and I am currently serving as the court services liaison for our Sex Offender Management Team. In my free time, I volunteer with my alumni group.

Sharie Lutt

Sharie Lutt, Western Region President

I was appointed as a United States Probation Officer for the District of Arizona in May 2003 as a presentence officer. In 2007, I transferred to supervision operations where I have been since under various roles, to include: Generalist; Intensive Supervision Specialist; Supervisor; and currently Assistant Deputy Chief for supervision operations in Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Yuma, Arizona. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Human Development and Family Relationships, and earned my Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University.
