Committees

Awards and Charitable Donations Committee
The purpose of this committee is to oversee and manage all FPPOA awards and charitable donations. Awards programming includes the annual Regional Line Officer of the Year Awards and the Richard F. Doyle Award. The Committee will also manage Ben S. Meeker Academic scholarships programming and any other temporary scholarships provided through out Partners. The Committee will manage education and communication regarding the Benevolence Fund. The Committee will establish methods to build our Benevolence Fund and will also coordinate distribution of funds to recipient families. The Committee will provide a report to the Board regarding the status of the Benevolence Fund at the mid-year Board meeting and annual National Training Institute.

Communications
Facilitate changes to content on the Association's website. Distribute emails to members. Draft announcements and coordinate dissemination of information. Respond to technical issues with the website. Conduct elections for positions in the Association. Post relevant content to social medial platforms.
Legislative and Partner
Pending
To promote membership in the Association by bringing awareness to its mission, objectives, and benefits. To establish marketing materials such as Welcome Packets, and flyers. To work with regional representatives to conduct annual membership drives throughout each region. The Committee Chair(s) will also present a report at both the mid-year Board meeting and at the annual conference.
National Training Institute & Special Projects
To solicit and identify host districts for the bi-annual National Training Institute and to facilitate conference planning activities such as; hotel arrangements (including but not limited to contracts, audio/visual, food and beverage services, etc.); develop educational programs, conference registration and social programs.
Research, Development and Advocacy
Systematic research and advocacy of US Probation and Pretrial policies, personnel standards, and professional development with the goal of improving the success and well-being of officers in our system.
